The Queen's official residence in Scotland sits at the end of Edinburgh's Royal Mile against Arthur's Seat. The Royal Apartments have seen centuries of royal history occur within their walls with the palace best known for being the home of Mary Queen of Scots.
The palace is still today a working Royal residence and is the main base when The Queen visits Scotland. The palace is often used by members of the Royal family today and who knows one of them may be visiting when you are there!

Scotch Whisky Experience
Your visit to the Scotch Whisky Experience will show you the mystery and history of how Scotch Whisky is made.
Your tour guide will take you on a journey explaining the difference between whiskies that come from the Lowlands, Highlands and Speyside Islands. You will be permitted to try the different types of Whisky with under 18's offered a soft drink as an alternative. The secrets of what makes a good whisky will be explained to you by your guide.
Your journey will also include a trip back in time to take a look at the last 300 years of Scotch Whisky. This is sure to be an interesting and educational day out.

Deep Sea World
Deep Sea World will see you introduced to strange and mysterious creatures and allows you to take a trip across the bottom of the sea with creatures such as sharks floating over you by inches. The underwater tunnels at Deep Sea World are some of the largest in the world and measures an impressive 112 metres long. In total there are 4.5 million litres of water weighing down on the tunnel glass tunnel walls that measure just 6.5cm thick.
This is a fascinating 'journey to the bottom of the sea' and one that you will not forget.

Edinburgh Dungeon will transport you back to disturbing and dark times as you explore the depressing and dark regions of the Edinburgh Dungeons.
Whilst the actual dungeons may seem depressing and dark your visit certainly won't be as live actors, rides, and interactive shows will all provide you with enjoyable experiences throught the day. Edinburgh Castle
The famous and magnificent Edinburgh Castle is the most well known of Scotlands castles and is only a short drive from the airport. It sits on the edge of an extinct volcano and the views to from it are simply breathtaking. It also plays host to some fine displays and exhibitions including:
The Prisoners of War Exhibition - examines the prisoners of war that were held in the 18th and 19th centuries in the castle.
The Honours of the Kingdom - the story of of Scotland's Crown Jewels saved from Cromwell and now remain as one of the oldest in Europe.
Stone of Destiny - the story of this famous stone taken to Westminster in 1296 and then returned to Scotland some 700 years later.
The OneO'Clock Gun - keep a listen out for this and explore the history of time guns as well as timekeeping.
