Spinnaker Tower

Towering 170 metres above Portsmouth Harbour is the Spinnaker Tower, offer some of the most awe-inspiring views in the U.K. The Spinnaker Tower is taller than the London Eye, Big Ben and Blackpool Tower and is a sigh to behold for anyone that visits it.

For those that make their way to the top a view awaits them that gives a 350 degree panoramic view over Portsmouth Harbour as well as the south coast and the Isle of Wight. On a clear day it is possible to see for 23 miles with the view at night proving just as spectacular.

The tower is split into decks with deck 1 boasting a glass floor giving the impression of 'walking on air.' Those that make their way to deck 2 will see a 'time telescope' that gives a history of the port in addition to a multimedia presentation. Deck 3 is where the experience gets a little more exciting as the 'crows nest' allows those in it to feel the wind in their hair as it is open and not covered.

National Motor Museum

The National Motor Museum has one of the greatest collections of cars currently in the UK. If you are interested in cars used on television, motor racing or world land speed records it is all here. Pride of place is the James Bond collection featuring the actual cars used in the 1970's 1980's and 2000's.

You can also see Mr. Beans mini from the popular television TV series, or if something a bit faster is your cup of tea there is the supercar exhibition. The museum has also constructed a typical 1930's garage scene using genuine artefacts collected over a period of many years, this is a truly wonderful exhibition not to be missed.
